The Ides of August

How do you celebrate your birthday on such a mundane year as 43? I won’t even get into the fact that it’s my “George W. Bush” year simply because I choose to steer clear of politics on this site.  And since last year I didn’t have an affair with an intern and the free trade agreement I signed with the Mexican restaurant at the end of the street hasn’t brought me any discounted hot tamales, I don’t foresee any 9/11 scale events. But next year – oh next year. Maybe that’s when I’ll finally get to greenbOw alaBAMA! I have no idea what that means. But like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get…

So, how does one celebrate? The beach, bike rides and of course a roll of film.

Coming back from my Capital Trail excursion, I decided to document how the "Papier Mache Chat" house looks in full bloom in the summer. This is one spooky house. I'm still not totally sure what's up in that top window.

The rear-view mirror selfie is the only way to end a roll outside of the camera shop.
